The result is a culturally responsive system of care. Culturally responsive health care is important for health care users, service providers and institutions.

Dr. Melissa Welch is the Principal and Founder of Perspectives of Differences and has over 15 year's experience teaching and training in multiple health care settings, incluiding academic, public and private sectors. Her experiences include developing site specific diversity and cultural competence programs, cultural competence and teaching methods workshops, keynote address, and implementing programs and services to improve health care for medically underserved populations.
Dr. Welch lives in San Francisco, CA. and is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and the University of California undergraduate and graduate training programs.
